Good nutrition is an integral part of healing and well-being. Sometimes cancer treatment may present a challenge to proper nutritional intake. Through instructional materials, group education and one-on-one counseling, our registered dietitians will help patients design a nutritional plan to meet their individual needs.

The Cancer Center has a board-certified music therapist available to all interested patients and families for private or group sessions. The therapist works to facilitate relaxation, decrease anxiety, reduce stress, enhance pain management and provide comfort and support, depending on the needs of the patient or family. These goals can be achieved through live music played by the therapist or patients, or via recorded music in conjunction with vibroacoustic equipment. No prior music experience is necessary to benefit from music therapy.
To contact the music therapist, call 973-971-5919.
In addition, we offer "Music in the Atrium," a music performance held every Wednesday in the lobby of the Cancer Center. This light, relaxing piano music is provided for the comfort and enjoyment of patients and visitors. This program is unique to this cancer center and offers patients the opportunity to relax, share experiences and see familiar faces. During the performance light refreshments are served by Cancer Center volunteers.
